About Us

My name is Jay Bachmann and I'm the owner of Poseidon's Pizza Company. A little about myself. I was born and raised in Burlington Ky. I graduated from Cooper High School in 2012. Ive always been a dreamer, coming up with small side businesses. My grandfather use to own a pizza restaurant back in the 80's. Although it closed well before I was born. I remember hearing stories and seeing some old photos of it. Ive always worked in the food industry. However I never thought I would make a career out of it.

When Sh*t got real: When I found out that I was going to be a father. I knew I needed to focus my energy on creating something stable for my family. When I decided to open a restaurant. My entire family tried to talk me out of it. They kept telling me that 50% of restaurants go out of business. With that in mind, I decided to move forward with it. Knowing that what I was going to create would never fail, because I wouldn't let that happen. So with $10,000 in the bank and around $15,000 worth of credit cards, I was all in.

At the start there was a lot of lows, some highs but mostly lows. Working 12-15 hours a day, everyday for about 5 months. But everything changed when Covid 19 happen. Schools started closing and the world was in a state of confusion. At that moment I realized what Poseidon's was really meant to do, HELP OTHERS! We were one of the first restaurants in the US to start offering kids on a free or reduced lunch. Free pizza, we even delivered it to their house. As a lot of business were forced to close. I had an idea to offer small business fundraising. The first place we did it for was Full Body Fitness & Yoga. We were able to write them a check for a little over $1,700! From there the word spread and tons of other shops started signing up. In the middle of the Covid 19 shut downs I opened two more locations. My thoughts were "The more stores we have, the more we can reach out and help". We regularly host fundraisers for schools, teams and clubs. Giving back thousands in the process. I realized that my true love was helping out people and selling pizzas is how Im able to do that. I also want to give a HUGE shout out to our employees. I have been blessed with the crew that we have.

So a lot has changed since I opened Poseidons on May 16 2019. We now have four locations. with over 30 employees. If you ask me how big we're going to get. I'll tell you the same thing I did on day one.

Shout out to all our amazing customers. My Mom & Dad, My brothers & sister. Savannah, Leo & Nash ❤️
